A broad-based delegation of journalists and important community leaders from across North America, all united in their quest for enhanced cross-cultural relations, visited Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs, to meet with key figures from the Egyptian ministries and Tourist Authorities.
The delegation arrived in Cairo on February 26th, and departed on March 4th. Led by a continuing cross-cultural initiative of Unique Image, Inc., a marketing boutique specializing in connecting cultures and peoples through philanthropy and targeted programs, the Rock’in Hearts group visited all points of Egypt—from Cairo to Abu Simbel to Aswan to Luxor to Alexandria.
The delegates were eager to learn about the antiquities, heritage and history of one of the richest archeological areas in the world through the eyes of a diverse group incorporating Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Armenian, Canadian, Caucasian and Asian perspectives.
The visit was jointly sponsored and organized by Unique Image, with generous support and contribution from the Egyptian Consulate Generals in San Francisco, the Egyptian Tourism Authority and EgyptAir. “This delegation is more than a press trip,” explains Wafa Kanan, publisher of ALO magazine and delegation chair. “The Rock’in Hearts delegation’s central purpose is designed to connect cultures through the lifestyles and commonalities we all share. By bringing a multi-national group of people together and traveling across one of the most exciting lands on Earth, the media and public at large can now see the world through multiple eyes and without bias to culture or status.”
