Luxor Brings the 3rd Arab International E- Tourism& E-Marketing Conference

The third Arab International E –Tourism and E-Marketing took place in Luxor from the 13th till the 16th of December 2010, and was organized by the International Organization of the Electronic Tourism Industry (IOETI), in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourism Authority, and under the patronage of Mr. Zuhair Garranah, in addition to the Egyptian Minister of Information and Communication Technology.

The conference was attended by over 300 people, and 25 international speakers and industry professionals showcased their services and products. Dr. Yahia Abu El Hassan, President of IOETI, stated “the third occurrence of this event emphasizes the role of IOETI in supporting the e-marketing and e-tourism industry within the Middle East and developing countries. Worldwide figure of internet users is now approximately 2 billion, and research shows that 43% of all internet users visited an online travel site at least once in March 2002. This confirms the predominance of the sector and highlights the significance of fully understanding all its potential”.

The conference represents the perfect venue for academics, industry partners, destination managers, marketers and government representatives to meet and share their thoughts. It also grants them with the ideal atmosphere to explore the future of ICTs in tourism through researches, seminars, and workshops.
