Travcotels’ Nile Cruise subsidiary company announced the inaugural sailing of its long awaited M/S Jaz Omar El Khayam, from its embarkation point in Aswan, on September 19th 2008 with 101 passengers on board. This ship marks the company’s 20th cruise ship on the Nile.

Measuring up to the opulent theme of the ship, a team of interior designers from Travco Group’s Engineering department, headed by Mrs. Dora El Chiaty, were the sole designers of the vessel, and the décor was meticulously handpicked to ensure the passengers the utmost in comfort and luxury while on board.

M/S Jaz Omar El Khayam features 80 cabins - 68 cabins and 12 suites – all spacious and luxuriously furnished, and equipped with the latest in entertainment systems, in addition to the standard amenities.

The elegant ship also features a restaurant to accommodate all guests, two lounges with bars, a discotheque, a large sundeck, a swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, a large wellness Spa and a gym, a gift shop.

M/S Jaz Omar El Khayam is among the few ships operating on Lake Nasser. Its itinerary includes a four-night trip embarking from Aswan to Abu Simbel from Monday to Friday of every week, and a three-night trip embarking from Abu Simbel back to Aswan from Friday to Monday of every week.
