With Governments recognizing Travel & Tourism as a top priority, and after the tourism industry has proven to be a major contributing factor in the consistent growth of any economy, Turismo Cocha in cooperation with Kuality, Chile’s leading group of tour operators & travel agencies, held a travel workshop this year 2007, vastly putting emphasis on Egypt as one of their best selling Tourist destination.

Egypt's number one travel group, Travco Group, was elected to travel to Santiago de Chile to represent Egypt and endorse tourism products to illustrate what the country has to offer and step up the number of travelers into Egypt.

Mr. Bassem Zaki, Assistant Deputy Director of Tourism Operations for Travco Travel along with Kuality in Santiago, conducted seven presentations about Egypt and Travco Group companies with emphasis on the Cruises, Hotels & Tourism Services introducing the prime tourist destinations. “Egypt is becoming a profound product to Chilean travelers, yet a little about the country was known." stated Zaki.

Approximately 250 participants from the retailoffices owned by Turismo Cocha attended the lectures, and were extremely interested in the quality services Travco offers.

The various offers and travel programs, excursions and a number of Travco’s properties across Egypt, including Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, and the North Coast grasped the attention of many.

Furthermore, Travco’s Nile cruises were high in demand in the Chile market and consequently Travco Group started receiving an incentive group from Peugeot Chile, and two tour groups within the upcoming months. That in addition to, the increase in the numbers of FIT requests.
